Job Summary – The position is responsible for effectively planning, organizing, leading, coordinating and optimizing the activities and human resources in the Warehouse. The position must manage daily operations, associate development, customer satisfaction, and ensure all functions are performed following company and distribution guidelines. 


Job Duties

  1. Responsible for training developing and coaching a culturally diverse team.
  1. Responsible for expense control and capital budgeting, planning, inventory control.
  2. Prepare and effectively administer department budget. 
  3. Develop and review weekly, quarterly and annual goals for the Warehouse team.
  4. Oversee warehousing activities to ensure that both incoming and outgoing product are handled accurately using proper training, systems and programs.
  1. Plan and assign work for most efficient use of personnel and equipment, ensuring that performance standards are being maintained.
  2. Coordinate with Inventory Control personnel to guarantee proper product rotation, slotting and space allocation.
  3. Coordinate and supervise overall transportation activities.
  4. Handle equipment and manage traffic for truck deliveries and shipping logistics.
  5. Develop sizing information to ensure proper utilization of warehouse space.
  6. Manage and maintain strict compliance with company health and safety programs including sanitation, risk management and asset management programs.
  7. Display good leadership skills and ability to supervise the work of others. 
  8. Motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office systems and other industry related programs at an intermediate to high skill level.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as store or department dictates
  • Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience and/or formal training in warehouse operations and systems, preferably within the supermarket industry.
  • Minimum 10 years as a Warehouse Manager.

Yearly Salary Range: CI $87,500 – CI $93,000 based on experience
