Spam & Hormel Foods Branded Products Recall

Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce that the Hormel Food has issued a recall on Spam branded products made by Minnesota-based Hormel due to possible metal contamination.
The U.S Department of Agriculture has stated that there have been minor oral injuries reported but they have received no additional reports of injury our illnesses from the consumption of the products.
Foster’s IGA does carry the affected Spam branded products but has not been affected by this recall.
The products affected are as follows:
Spam Classic, 12 oz. metal cans with “Best By” February 2021 and production codes: F020881, F020882, F020883, F020884, F020885, F020886, F020887, F020888 and F020889, shipped throughout the United States of America.
Hormel Foods Black Label Luncheon Loaf, 12 oz. metal cans wit “Best By” February 2021 and production codes: F02098 and F02108,shipped to Guam Only.
No other Spam or Hormel Foods branded products are included within this recall.
Customers should check the UPC’s on Spam or Hormel Foods branded products homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased. We encourage all customers who have purchased this product from any of our Foster’s IGA locations to return the affected product for a full refund. Please discontinue use of any affected product.
