Roland Red & Black Lumpfish Caviar Recall

Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce that Roland Foods, has issued a voluntary recall on their Red and Black Lumpfish Caviar which were manufactured at Ora Ehf in Iceland, due to the potential contamination with Clostridium Botulinum. Customers are warned not to use the product even if it does not look or smell spoiled.
Botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning, can cause the following symptoms: general weakness, dizziness, double vision, and trouble with speaking or swallowing. Difficulty in breathing, weakness of other muscles, abdominal distension and constipation may also be common symptoms. People experiencing these problems should seek immediate medical attention.
Fosters IGA does not carry the affected Roland Red or Black Lumpfish Caviar and has not been affected by this recall.
No other Roland branded product is included within this recall.
Customers should check the UPC’s on Roland branded products at homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased. We encourage all customers who have purchased this product from any of our Foster’s IGA locations to return the affected product for a full refund. Please discontinue use of any affected product
