Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Recall

Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce that Pepperidge Farm has issued a voluntary recall on four varieties of Goldfish Crackers due contamination of salmonella, which can cause major health risks.

Salmonella is a toxic organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and produce more severe illnesses.

Foster’s IGA does carry Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers but has not been affected by this recall.

The varieties included in this recall are listed below. However, different packaging options are included in the recall. Please also see the product listing included below.

• Flavor Blasted® Xtra Cheddar

• Flavor Blasted® Sour Cream & Onion

• Goldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar

• Goldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

No other Pepperidge Farm branded products are included within this recall.

Customers should check for Pepperidge Farm Goldfish branded products in their homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased. We encourage all customers who have purchased this product from any of our Foster’s IGA locations to return the affected product for a full refund. Please discontinue use of any affected product
