JBS Inc. Beef Recall — Foster's Supermarket

JBS Inc. Beef Recall

December 06, 2018 | NOT AFFECTED

Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce that JBS Tolleson, Incorporated has issued a voluntary recall on pounds of non-intact raw beef due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

Salmonella is a toxic organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and produce more severe illnesses.

Foster’s IGA does carry JBS branded beef but has not been affected by this recall.

No other JBS branded products are included within this recall.

Customers should check the UPC’s on JBS branded products in their homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased.
