Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce a recall on Hungry Jack Original Pancake and Waffle Mix due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

 

Salmonella is a toxic organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and produce more severe illnesses.

 

Foster’s IGA does not carry Hungry Jack Original Pancake and Waffle Mix and has not been affected by this recall.

 

 

The Hungry Jack Original Pancake and Waffle Mix has affected all lots in DC including 11/12/14/15/18/21/43/61/62/67/71/80. The UPC for the affected product is: 5150028063

 

No other Hungry Jack branded products are included within this recall.

Customers should check the UPC’s on Hungry Jack branded products in their homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased.
